As a renaissance man, distractions can be deadly to my progress, efficiency and the completion of any one of many tasks on the list.
I have learned that, in the name of balance, I sometimes have to say "whatever" - and that's ok.
Tasks will always be present and demand is demand. If you're feeling overwhelmed, rest may be in order. Taking a break isn't going to be the end of the world.
One of my favorite questions is, "will this matter a year from now?" If the answer is "no", then consider taking some time to be with your family, work on that hobby or interest or connect with a friend. Your tasks will still be there tomorrow.
